Q:  WILL THE DOG PARK JUST BE AN AREA OF UNLEASHED WILD DOGS WITH FECES AND TRASH EVERYWHERE?
A:   NO!   Park planners will be hired to design the park (to include ball fields, etc.), and they'll use sophisticated design concepts for the fencing, the trash receptacles, etc., and they'll do extensive drawings and planning in an attempt to divert traffic flow, noise, smell, and outside observation.

Q. WILL TRAFFIC FLOW IN THE AREA INCREASE?
A  Maybe, but based on research at other parks, it should not substantial.  The dog park traffic may come directly off of the highway and avoid the residential areas altogether.

Q:  HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PROTECT THE TRASH CANS FROM HAVING FECES ALL OVER THEM FROM OPEN POOP BAGS?
A:   First, we're looking into using poop bags with handles that will be tied/sealed when filled.  Second, we plan to have covered trash cans into which the tied bags will be properly disposed.  We hope that people won't indiscriminately "fling" their open poop bags into or ONto the trash cans -- and that they'll take better care of their park and make it nice for others.  Since people don't want to get poop on themSELVES, either, they'll surely make sure to get the poop into the cans!  ...just one more reason for a membership in the park so that "park owners" will take care of "THEIR park."

Q:  THERE ARE DOG BITE LAWS, SO OBVIOUSLY DOG PARKS ARE TOO DANGEROUS FOR PEOPLE OR PETS, AREN'T THEY?
A:   Just because there are dog bite laws (and ways for people to sue others because of dog bites) does not mean that a dog park is dangerous.   Pets in dog parks are monitored the entire time, and owners take responsibility for their pets' actions there.  Anyone who's too afraid of dogs should not come to the dog park, and they should not bring their dog to the dog park, either.  The dog park is a unique recreation area for well-behaved pets and responsible owners...not for packs of wild dogs and owners who just unleash them and ignore them.

There are laws about many things -- including driving, walking, and parking, for example, but just because there are laws about these things, should we stay in our homes and never go outside?
